PARAPLEGIC IN 2004

I was born in the interior of Rio grande do Sul and I'm the son of a family of farmers. I had a happy childhood but very suffered. With 5 other siblings in the family, we didn't have much choice. When I as only 18, I went to live in the big city, where I ended up getting hit. With one shot in an attempted robbery in 2004, I became paraplegic and after 4 years a friend invited me to know the wheelchair fencing sport.

1ST BRAZILIAN TO WIN AN INTERNATIONAL MEDAL

In 2010 I married and in 2011 my son was born... Since then I've been overcoming myself and overcoming barriers. In 2010 I was the first Brazilian ever to win an international medal and in 2012 I was Paralympic Champion, until then without any sponsorship. I have a lot to thank God, my family, friends and sponsors, every person who helped me and encouraged me at any time in my life. I am grateful to each one.
